Clarissa Moreno: Egypt

Egypt is a country localized in north Africa. Is considered to be a major power in north Africa, Mediterranean region, African continent, Nile basin, islamic world and the red sea.
It is one of the most populous countries in Africa and the Middle East. Is famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world´s most famous monuments like:
-Giza pyramid complex
-Great Sphinx
Egypt possesses one of the most developed and diversified economies in the middle east with sectors as turism, agriculture, industry and service. The egyptian economy is rapidly developing.
It has been a republic since June 18 1953 and the president Mohamed Hosni Mubarak has been in that charge since october 14 1981.
Egyptian culture has 6 thousand years of recorded history. It´s capital city is Cairo. Football soccer is the popular sport of Egypt.
The currency of Egypt is the pound and is divided into 100 piastres. There, most of the people use the Egyptian Arabic language. The type of government that they have is the semi-presidential republic. The president is the head of the state and government. In the past, the Egyptians practiced the polytheism but now they are Muslims.

Egypt has a crumbling infrastructure issue nowadays; the Financial Times newspaper reported in late 2008 that Egypt's public infrastructure including schools, hospitals and public transportation system was in poor condition.

SOLUTIONS:
-Dominance solution: The government, act as the authority in this case; because they have the power to decide how much money they want to invest in the infrastructure in Egypt.
-Reciprocity: All the Egyptians can help reconstructing Egypt and the government can “pay” them by not charging them taxes while they are in this project or in a specific time.
