The specific ideoligies of gender differ from country to country. In the USA the roles for women and men are quite similar in the public life; both genders are involved in politics, war, and all throughout society. In other countries, however, the roles for women and men are drastically different. In the Middle East, for example, women´s rights are oppressed. Not only are they are expected to not be involved in the public life, but they are given no rights to do so. In conclusion, gender roles vary drastically across the world but among all the differences,one idea remains the same- that nowhere is there one concrete tandard to define gender roles.
